Japanese XY6: Emerald Break is an expansion from the XY era, released on March 14, 2015 under the set code XY6. It is a compact release with 91 catalog printings, built around a ladder of commons and uncommons topped by a small group of EX cards. Several Pokémon appear in more than one version, among them Altaria, Articuno, Banette and Dragonite, while the headline cards are Latios EX, Mega Gallade EX and Mega Rayquaza EX. The set's value sits with that EX and Mega EX group rather than spread across the card list.

The Emerald Break card list climbs from commons and uncommons through rares to 22 chase-tier cards, split between Super Rare, Double Rare and Ultra Rare. Latios EX at Super Rare is the most valuable card, followed by the Super Rare Mega Gallade EX, then the Double Rare Mega Rayquaza EX and Mega Latios EX. Rayquaza EX rounds out the top five. Those five cards alone hold 66 percent of the set's total card value, so the value of Emerald Break rests on a few specific pulls while the remaining cards carry the other third between them.
As of October 2026, Emerald Break holds the 8th highest total card value among the 21 comparable XY sets, about 1.4 times the era median, and 85th across the whole game. Its top card ranks 9th in the era by value, and it ranks 13th in the era for trading activity. It followed CP1: Magma Gang vs Aqua Gang: Double Crisis, which holds less total value, and came before XY7: Bandit Ring, which holds more. Roaring Skies carries 60 of its cards in English and came later, with Japanese collectors getting these cards first, 8 weeks ahead on May 6, 2015.
