Pt4: Advent of Arceus is a Japanese Pokémon TCG expansion from the Platinum era, released on July 8, 2009 under the set code Pt4. It sits among four comparable Platinum sets and arrived between Pt3: Beat of the Frontier and L1: HeartGold Collection. The card list runs to 90 printings, and the set is built around its namesake: Arceus appears five times, with Burmy and Wormadam each printed three times and Bagon and Ponyta twice. Arceus also supplies the headline cards, taking the top two places in the value order, and every one of the leading cards is a Holo Rare.
The pull ladder in Pt4: Advent of Arceus is a plain one, running from Common and Uncommon through Rare to Holo Rare, with no chase-tier rarity above it. The most valuable cards are therefore all Holo Rares, and Arceus holds the top two places on the most valuable cards list. Salamence LV.X sits 3rd, followed by another Arceus and the Charizard, with a further Arceus and Zapdos G close behind. The top five cards hold 43 percent of the set's total card value, a real concentration but not an extreme one, so the rest of the Holo Rare slots carry weight too.
As of October 2026, Pt4: Advent of Arceus ranks 3rd by total card value among the four comparable Platinum sets, with a master set value about equal to the era median. Its top card ranks 1st in the era for single-card value, and the set ranks 3rd in the era for trading activity. Across the whole Japanese game it ranks 54th of 189 comparable sets by total card value. It followed Pt3: Beat of the Frontier, which holds less total value, and came before L1: HeartGold Collection, which also holds less. Its cards reached English players in Arceus, which came 3 months after the Japanese release.

Completing Pt4: Advent of Arceus means tracking down 90 printings, of which 77 are priced. Because the top five cards account for 43 percent of total card value, the cost of a complete set depends largely on the Arceus holos and a few other Holo Rares, while the Commons, Uncommons and plain Rares fill out the card list far more cheaply. With Arceus printed five times across the run, the repeated name means collectors working toward a master set have several versions to account for.
