Wild Things Games

Wild Things Games is a trading card and tabletop game store at 241 Commercial St NE in Salem, Oregon. It carries Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh!, and it splits its business across three separate storefronts, each aimed at a different kind of buyer: current singles and events, sealed and graded product, and older classic singles.

What's on the shelves

The store's current-singles side is where players of the three main card games will spend most of their time. It buys and sells current singles for collectible and trading card games, which makes it a place to pick up cards for a deck as well as a place to move cards you no longer need.

A second storefront covers graded cards, sealed products, toys and more, so collectors looking for slabs or unopened product have their own channel rather than sharing space with the singles stock.

A third storefront is dedicated to classic singles for collectible and trading card games, meaning older cards that sit outside the current-set focus of the main singles business. Players building or restoring older decks have a separate place to shop for them.

Events

Events are part of the store's current-singles operation, alongside buying and selling. No recurring weekly schedule or sanctioned organized-play program is confirmed for the store, so anyone planning around a particular night or format should confirm with the store before making the trip.

History

The store has been building its presence since at least January 2024, and its focus is tabletop gaming broadly, not card games alone. The three-storefront structure is the clearest sign of how it has grown: events and current singles, graded and sealed product, and classic singles each get their own home.

The local scene

Wild Things Games sits in a dense stretch of Salem for card and collectibles shopping. Tipton's Coins Cards & Jewelry and Nw Comic Gallery, Llc are each about 0.1 miles away, Cosmic Card Shop is 0.2 miles away, and Borderlands Games is 0.3 miles away. New Hobby Sports Collectibles is a little farther out, about 1.1 miles from the store. Anyone making the trip to Commercial St NE can fit several shops into one outing, with a mix that spans cards, comics, coins and sports collectibles.

Who it suits

The store fits players of Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering and Yu-Gi-Oh! who want a place to buy and sell current singles, collectors after graded cards or sealed product, and anyone hunting for classic singles from older sets. Opening hours are not confirmed here, so it is worth confirming them with the store before visiting.
