Upstate TCG

Upstate TCG is a Pokémon card store at 2041 Chesnee Hwy in Spartanburg, South Carolina, open six days a week and closed Mondays. It suits Pokémon players and collectors on the Spartanburg side of the Upstate who want a walk-in shop with late hours on Friday and Saturday nights.

What's on the shelves

Pokémon is the game the store carries. Sealed Pokémon product is part of the business, including full sealed cases, which are packed and sent by an official distributor from The Pokémon Company International rather than boxed at the store.

How buying and shipping work

Orders placed ahead of a visit are pickup-only at the moment, so they are collected at the shop on Chesnee Highway. Shipping is planned to return soon, but it is not running now. When it does ship, orders go out the same day or the next business day with tracking, by UPS or USPS. Delivery is estimated at 3 to 5 business days after purchase, and booster packs and other small orders may travel in a padded envelope instead of a cardboard box. Orders bound for freight forwarding services are not shipped; they are refunded minus 6% to cover transaction costs.

Store policies

The store does not accept returns on any product, a rule tied to the nature of trading cards and sealed product. Refunds are limited to two cases: the wrong item arrives, or an item arrives damaged, in which case photos of the product and the packaging are required. An order can be canceled before it ships, but a 3% cancellation fee is deducted from the refund. Payment options include the major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Shop Pay.

Hours and getting there

The shop is at 2041 Chesnee Hwy, Suite B, Spartanburg.

Friday and Saturday are the late nights, with doors open two hours longer than the rest of the week.
