Tournament City Games

Tournament City Games is a trading card game store on Buckeystown Pike in Frederick, Maryland, open every day of the week. It carries a wide spread of card games, buys cards from customers, and runs a pulled-list service for shoppers who want their singles ready before they arrive. It suits players and collectors who want singles at posted bulk prices and the option to skip the wait at the counter.

What's on the shelves

The store stocks Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, One Piece Card Game, Disney Lorcana, Digimon and Star Wars: Unlimited. Accessories include deck boxes and binders under the store's own TCG brand, and upcoming releases are stocked as they arrive.

The store is always buying cards, so anyone with a collection to move can bring it in. Some of the inventory is available only in person, so the stock on the shelves goes deeper than what is sold online.

Singles and bulk pricing

Bulk singles follow a fixed price scale, and anything valued above bulk is priced from verified market listings.

Pulled lists

Shoppers who would rather not wait while cards are found can have a list pulled ahead of time. A request needs a name, a budget, preferred printings or versions and an estimated arrival time. When no printing is specified, the cheapest available version is pulled. Requests can be sent by text message.

The service comes with one firm rule: customers submitting lists are expected to commit to the cards pulled for them, and anyone who fails to pick up a list loses the ability to request lists in the future.

Events

The store runs weekly tournaments and a leaderboard with monthly prizes. Recent offerings have included preregistration for a Yu-Gi-Oh! 3v3 tournament for Magnificent Maestros at $35.00. The store also holds signings and cosplay days alongside its card play.
