Top Deck Games

Top Deck Games is a card and tabletop game store at 1400 Haddonfield-Berlin Rd. in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, open seven days a week and late on most of them. It carries Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon and Star Wars: Unlimited, and it runs a structured after-school program that pairs Dungeons & Dragons campaigns with trading card game sessions. It suits families with school-age players as much as it suits the usual weeknight crowd.

What the store carries

The store's card games are Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon and Star Wars: Unlimited. Those three also make up the trading card game sessions in the after-school program, where players are encouraged to try the different games against one another. Dungeons & Dragons is part of the program as well.

After-school program

The after-school program is the most developed offering at the Cherry Hill location. The program for the 2026-27 school year begins October 1, 2026. Sessions run from 4 PM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday. Early drop-off within reason is fine, and pickup is by 6:15 PM. Each weekday with Dungeons & Dragons features its own campaign, so a child who signs up for two D&D days plays in two separate concurrent campaigns.

The Cherry Hill schedule is split by day:

The trading card game sessions are open-format: participants bring their own decks and play Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon and Star Wars: Unlimited with one another.

Rates and registration

Families can pay by the session or by the month. Drop-in sessions are $50 each. Monthly pricing depends on how many days a week a child attends:

Registering for three or more months at once earns a 20% discount.

Participants can be registered for a month of any weekly offering, such as all the Mondays in November, or one session at a time, in any combination. An enrollment form is filled out once per participant for the whole school year, and payment follows by invoice after registering.

The program does not run on a handful of holiday dates: December 28 (Monday), December 29 (Tuesday), December 23 and 30 and November 25 (Wednesday), November 26 and December 24 and 31 (Thursday), and November 27 and December 25 and January 1 (Friday).

Hours and getting there

The store sits in Suite 100 at 1400 Haddonfield-Berlin Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08003.

Other locations

Top Deck Games operates three stores. Besides Cherry Hill, there is a store at 3003 English Creek Ave in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, and one at 3850 Lancaster Ave in Philadelphia. The Philadelphia after-school schedule leans more heavily toward Dungeons & Dragons, with sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and focused Magic: The Gathering sessions on Tuesday and Thursday where players bring their own decks.
