The Game Guys

The Game Guys is a video game store at 12 N Market St in Johnstown, with a trading card section that carries Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering. Video games are the core of the business, alongside console repair and disc resurfacing, so it suits someone who wants to browse cards and games in the same visit rather than a player looking for a tournament room.

What's on the shelves

The card stock centers on Pokémon, from popular character cards up to rare holographics, with Magic: The Gathering cards alongside. The cards share the floor with a wide run of video games: current releases for popular consoles, a broad retro selection, and Nintendo Switch titles.

Games are also taken in trade. Old titles can be exchanged for store credit toward other purchases, which makes the store a practical stop for anyone clearing out a game shelf while picking up cards.

Repairs and other services

Repair work sets the store apart from a card-only shop. Technicians handle gaming console repairs, and game discs can be repaired and resurfaced for all the major gaming systems, from minor scratches to cracks. A collector who also plays on console can sort out both in one trip.

Hours and getting there

The store is open every day, with extended evening hours on Friday and Saturday.

The address is 12 N Market St, Johnstown, NY 12095.
