The Cellar Tabletop Games & Comics

The Cellar Tabletop Games & Comics is a comics and tabletop game store at 2737 Bartlett Blvd in Bartlett, Tennessee. It pairs a weekly new-comics shelf with a standing event calendar built around Magic: The Gathering and board games, with sessions on Friday and Saturday evenings and a Sunday afternoon. It suits comic readers who also play games, and Magic players looking for a regular table.

What's on the shelves

Comics are the store's backbone. New releases arrive weekly, and the stock runs from standard single issues to trade paperbacks, hardcovers and omnibus volumes. A typical week brings a few dozen new titles from DC, Marvel and independent publishers, with many issues carrying several cover variants. Single issues in a recent week were priced between $1.00 and about $9, while collected editions ranged from roughly $10 to $100.

Tabletop games are the other half of the business. Magic: The Gathering is the card game the store supports with organized events, and board games have their own night on the calendar. Customers who buy digital comics through the store's own links earn rewards redeemable in the store.

Weekly play

The calendar runs Friday through Sunday.

Sunday's Commander session is the one daytime event on the schedule.

Special events

Beyond the weekly slate, the store holds special events through the year. Preregistration is recommended for all of them, so plan to sign up ahead of time rather than showing up on the day.

Hours and getting there

The store is open every day, with shorter hours on Sunday.

The shop is at 2737 Bartlett Blvd, Bartlett, TN 38134.
