TCG Village

TCG Village is an independent game and hobby store at 14240 Sullyfield Cir Unit N in Chantilly, Virginia, stocked with trading card games, collectibles, tabletop games and local art. It opened in 2024 and runs a full week of tournaments and casual play nights, with Pokémon, One Piece and Magic the heaviest on the calendar. It suits players who want a night to play on almost any day and collectors who like to trade cards in for credit.

What's on the shelves

The card side covers Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece Card Game, Disney Lorcana and Dragon Ball Super Card Game, along with Riftbound, Gundam, Union Arena and Dragon Ball Fusion World. Beyond cards, the store carries Funko Pops, Pokémon plushies and TY Beanies, plus tabletop and board games including Warhammer, Dungeons & Dragons, Monopoly and Catan. A local art and gift section rounds it out: digital prints, 3D-printed Pokémon figures and Pokéballs, beaded bracelets, crochet plushies, custom binders, candles and chocolate.

Trade-ins

The store accepts trade-ins of Pokémon, Magic, One Piece, Riftbound and Lorcana, singles and sealed product. Store credit always pays more than cash. Pokémon raw singles above $4 start at 75% of market value in credit or 65% as a payout, with vintage WOTC-era cards at 70% and 60%. Magic and One Piece raw singles start at 70% credit and 60% payout, and Lorcana starts at 60% and 50%.

Bulk is taken for Pokémon, One Piece (OP17 only) and Riftbound (Origins and Vendetta only), and it has to be sorted before it comes in: desleeved, stored in a box and all facing the same direction. Pokémon bulk is further organized by set, with non-holos separated from holos and reverse holos. Basic energies and code cards are accepted as donations only.

Weekly play

Play runs most days of the week at the store, and entry fees are not set for any of it. Wednesday evening is Lorcana, and Saturday and Sunday carry additional Pokémon, One Piece, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Cookie Run and Dungeons & Dragons sessions.

Friday is the busiest day, with a Magic play night at 7 PM and Cookie Run and Dungeons & Dragons sessions in the afternoon on top of what the table shows.

Special events

The calendar adds one-off events on top of the weekly schedule. October includes a Pokémon prerelease on October 26 and 27, Reality Fracture Commander parties for Magic and a Halloween-eve night covering Pokémon, Gundam and Magic. November brings Star Trek prerelease events for Magic on the 6th and 7th, a Star Trek Commander party on the 20th, a Magic bulk Commander battle on the 14th, and One Piece OP18 release events on the 21st and 28th. A Pokémon VGC league challenge is set for November 15 at noon, and a Cookie Run learn-to-play session for November 6 at 3 PM. Dates are subject to change, and staff can confirm details.

History and character

The store was founded in 2024 by a Northern Virginia native who grew up on Pokémon Red and Blue and schoolyard card trades. It began as a community in the corner of a flower shop, and the shop has kept a reputation for smelling good as a result. It has since grown into its own space, and the owners also run Fantasy Florist, a sister business right next door.
