Sportsnut Cards & Collectibles is a sports card shop at 1102 Main St in the shore town of Belmar, New Jersey. It leans toward quality over volume: rare and unique modern cards of top players across the major sports, with signed memorabilia and a Pokémon section alongside. It suits collectors chasing autographs, rookies and game-used pieces, and anyone with a collection to sell.

What's on the shelves

The core of the stock is single cards of players from the past and present: certified autograph cards, rookie cards, game-used cards, inserts and vintage star cards. Baseball, basketball, football and hockey each have their own sections for autographs, game-used, inserts and parallels, rookies, unopened boxes and vintage. Soccer, wrestling, UFC and other sports such as racing, boxing, tennis, golf, Olympics and WNBA cards are carried too, along with entertainment cards covering Disney, Game of Thrones, James Bond, Marvel and DC, Star Trek, Star Wars, Stranger Things, and TV and movies.

Unopened boxes come from Topps, Donruss, Fleer, Upper Deck, Tristar and Press Pass. Signed memorabilia from the top names fills out the retail space, and Pokémon is carried as well.

Prices run well past casual-collector territory at the top end. Recent featured singles have included a Willie Mays reprint autograph graded PSA 8 at $1,300 and a Paul Skenes rookie autograph numbered to 5 at $5,500, with plenty of cards in the $150 to $800 range.

Authentication

Every autographed card sold is certified. Most are certified by the manufacturer that produced them. Autographs that did not come out of packs are authenticated by JSA or PSA/DNA.

Buying cards

The store buys modern and vintage sports cards and signed memorabilia, from single items to full collections. The top needs are signed cards and rookies of Hall of Famers and current standouts, pre-1970 vintage star cards in every sport, rare inserts, factory sets, and unopened boxes and cases. Certified autograph cards, rookies, rare inserts, game-used cards and vintage pre-1970 cards are the main focus. Sellers can call or email to talk through what they have.

Online orders and pickup

Everything in the retail store is also sold online, and every card sold online can be found in the shop. Online orders can be picked up in the store and are ready after 24 hours. Orders of $200 or more within the United States ship free; smaller orders ship USPS Ground Advantage for $6, and most orders go out within 48 hours. Coupon codes can be applied at checkout. Payment is accepted by all major credit cards and PayPal, and money orders are accepted by mail.

Returns are accepted up to 5 days after an item is received on single cards, team lots and player lots. Unopened boxes and complete sets cannot be returned.

Events

The store runs in-store events from time to time. A Topps Rip Night, a pack-opening night, has been scheduled for September 14.
