Sparks Trading Cards

Sparks Trading Cards is a locally owned trading card game shop at 1224 Monaco Ct, Suite 31, in Stockton, California. It stocks sealed product, singles and accessories across a long list of card games, keeps open play tables, and is open seven days a week. It suits players who want a free place to sit down and play, and collectors who like a shop that carries the smaller games alongside the big names.

What's on the shelves

The store carries Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece Card Game, Disney Lorcana, Digimon Card Game, Dragon Ball Super Card Game and Weiss Schwarz. The product categories also take in Riftbound, Gundam, Union Arena, Cardfight Vanguard, hololive, Palworld and Grand Archive, which makes the range wider than most shops this size manage.

The stock runs to sealed booster boxes, Elite Trainer Boxes, singles and accessories. Some sealed boxes are sold in the store only and are not shipped. Recent examples include a Riftbound: Radiance booster box at $139.99, a Union Arena booster box for the Goddess of Victory: NIKKE set at $99.99, and a Cardfight Vanguard: Parallactic Dawn booster box at $69.99. All three have been sold out at points, so the in-store-only items tend to move quickly.

Play space

The store keeps open play tables, and sitting down to play costs nothing. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The store also runs weekly tournaments and other trading card game events.
