About
South Bay Baseball Cards is a sports card shop at 1751 Pacific Coast Hwy in Lomita, California, built around graded and raw singles and fresh sealed wax. Baseball leads the stock, with basketball and football close behind, and the store works for collectors who want a deep singles case plus boxes to rip in one stop. It is open Tuesday through Saturday.
Singles are the core of the business, sold both graded and raw across baseball, basketball, football and other sports, with separate runs of vintage cards, rookie cards, soccer, entertainment and trading card game singles. The range is wide in price. Recent arrivals have included a 1956 Topps Ted Williams in a PSA 2 holder for $295, a 2018 Panini Contenders Draft Picks Sam Darnold rookie autograph numbered to 25 for $95, and a 2011 Panini Americana Ric Flair signed card numbered to 99 for $169. At the top end, a 2025-26 Topps Chrome Victor Wembanyama autograph, numbered 007 of 150 and graded PSA 10, carries a $9,995 price. Lower-priced singles, such as a 1997 Skybox Z-Force Kobe Bryant rookie at $39.95, keep the case from being all trophies.
Sealed product runs from a 2026 Topps Chrome Baseball mega box at $89.95 to hobby boxes of 2025 Topps Resurgence Football at $475 and 2025-26 Topps Inception Basketball at $529. The store also builds its own themed boxes and carries keepsake items alongside the cards.
Buyers can send an offer on a single, naming a quantity and a price.
The store buys, sells and trades across baseball, basketball, football and more. Buying and trading happen in person only, so anyone with a collection to sell or swap should plan to bring it to the counter.
Singles can be returned within 14 days of delivery as long as they come back in the condition they arrived in, including any original packaging or holders. Sealed products, meaning boxes, packs and mystery boxes, are final sale and cannot be returned. Items damaged in transit are handled differently: damage reported within 14 days of delivery, with photos of the card and the packaging, is made right, and that applies to sealed product too.
Graded cards ship in protective packaging built to stop shifting in transit, and high-value orders can get extra protection and tracking.
Beyond the counter, the store runs live breaks Monday through Friday from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and much of the inventory can be bought by mail without a trip to Lomita.
