Robot Zero Comics

Robot Zero Comics is a comics and collectibles shop at 24 N Broadway in Geneva, Ohio. It sells comic books, action figures, statues and Funko POP figures alongside trading cards, with Pokémon and the Dragon Ball Super Card Game as the card games it carries. It suits collectors who browse across several categories at once rather than players looking for a regular tournament night.

What's on the shelves

Comics are the core of the shop, with titles from publishers including Fantagraphics, BOOM Studios, Scout Comics, DC Comics and Image Comics. The store also publishes its own exclusive variants. One recent example is a Robot Zero exclusive edition of Gods of Brutality #1, limited to 250 copies and available to preorder at $11.99.

The toy side is broad. Shelves run from Funko POP figures, including store and retailer exclusives, to Diamond Select Toys, McFarlane Toys, NECA and Marvel Legends figures. Anime statues cover Demon Slayer and Dragon Ball. Horror is a visible strength, with clothed NECA costume-kid figures and a winter horror blind bag among the stock. Character lines range from Spider-Man, Batman and the X-Men to Transformers, Ghostbusters, Jurassic Park and WWE wrestlers.

Trading cards lean toward sealed Topps product, both sports and non-sports. The current Topps Chrome releases include Marvel, Disney and Deadpool boxes, a Star Wars Chrome blaster box and a Stranger Things Hi-Tek box. Garbage Pail Kids has a place too, with the Worst of GPK 40th Anniversary hobby box in stock. Prices run from about $30 for a Star Wars Chrome blaster box to $499.99 for a 2026 Topps Chrome Disney hobby box, with value and mega boxes in between. The WWE Championship Showdown game line is stocked as well.

Events and sales

The store runs periodic sales, among them an end of year sale held December 27 to 31, 2023 and a flake sale. It also hosts the Lake Eerie Horror Market, a horror-themed vendor event. A vendor space costs $40, which guarantees one space, and vendors bring their own table.

Getting there

The shop is at 24 N Broadway in Geneva. Anyone planning a trip around a specific product or event is wise to contact the store beforehand, since regular opening hours, weekly events and organized-play programs are not set out for visitors.

The local scene

Geneva has two other places for cards and games within walking distance or a short drive. The Game Goblin is in Geneva as well, and Toy-N-Hobby Headquarters is about 0.8 miles away. In Madison, about 5.2 miles away, Comic Book City, Virtual Reality Cards & Games and Comics Are Go of Madison, OH are all in the same stretch of town, which makes a combined trip to several shops practical.
