Red Panda Hobbies and Games

Red Panda Hobbies and Games is a game store in Huntsville, Alabama, at 2607 Leeman Ferry Rd SW, suite 6. It carries six card games, Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece Card Game, Disney Lorcana, Digimon Card Game and Star Wars: Unlimited, alongside dice, tabletop miniatures and D&D merchandise. It is a women- and veteran-owned shop, and it suits players who want one stop for several card games plus the tabletop side of the hobby.

What's on the shelves

The card side covers the six games above, each with its own section in the catalog. Beyond those, the store stocks other trading card and miniatures lines, including Altered, a card game set in a colorful modern world, and A Song of Ice & Fire: Tabletop Miniatures Game, a competitive miniatures game. BattleTech and Arkham Horror are also on the list, along with Disney Villainous, a family board game.

Dice get their own aisle, in a range of sizes and shapes. D&D merchandise runs to buttons and mugs, and the store also sells jewelry. Dragon Shield matte sleeves, packed 100 to a box in standard size, are among the supplies.

The store sells online as well as in person. Online orders are processed within 2 business days, and pre-orders are handled separately: they are processed when stock arrives and ship two business days before the release date set by the publisher. Shipping goes to P.O. boxes and APO/FPO addresses, and some countries outside the United States are served too, though certain products are excluded because of import and export rules.

Store policies

Refunds and exchanges are available within 14 days of purchase. The item has to be unused, in its original packaging and accompanied by a receipt, and it must be faulty or incorrect. Exchanges are for defective or damaged items only. Sale items are not refundable, and neither are gift cards or pre-orders, unless the pre-order is tied to an event.

Customers can opt in to text messages about sales and order pickup. The store texts only people who agree, and a receipt can be texted at checkout if the customer chooses.

History

The store began when a group of regulars lost their favorite game store to closure. Rather than lose the hangout and the community around it, they started a new shop built on the same idea, and named it for their shared fondness for red pandas. The owners run it as a welcoming space for seasoned players, hobbyists and the curious alike.
