Poor Boy Comics is a comic and trading card shop at 3680 S Maryland Pkwy, Suite 399, in Las Vegas. It stocks graded comics and sealed Pokémon alongside product for Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Disney Lorcana, which makes it a fit for collectors who cross over between comics and cards.

What's on the shelves

Comics are the backbone of the stock. Raw comics and graded comics in CGC and CBCS slabs are both carried, and a mystery comic short box is also on offer. The graded run spans modern books and key older issues: a Spider-Island #2 in a CGC 9.8 holder is priced at $85, a Harley Quinn #1 in CGC 9.6 at $100, and an Amazing Spider-Man #49 in CBCS 9.6 at $200. The high end reaches into the thousands, with a Tales of Suspense #39 in CBCS 2.5 at $4,500 and a Wonder Woman #105 in CGC 8.5 at $4,600.

Pokémon is the deepest card game on the list. Sealed product includes booster boxes from Mega Evolution, Scarlet & Violet, Surging Sparks and Journey Together, plus booster bundles and premium collections such as the Mega Charizard X ex Ultra-Premium Collection. Raw Pokémon cards and PSA-graded Pokémon slabs are sold as well, including a 2001 Pikachu promo in a PSA Mint 9 holder. Chinese-language Pokémon boxes turn up in the sealed selection too.

Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Disney Lorcana each have their own section, with Magic stock that has included Avatar: The Last Airbender play boosters. Beyond cards and comics, the shop sells action figures, supplies, sealed products, sports items and signed Pops.
