P-Lay Cards and Games

P-Lay Cards and Games is a small hangout in Long Beach built around Yu-Gi-Oh and video game play, at 2060 Santa Fe Ave. It suits players who want a relaxed place to sit down for a game or a tournament more than a big retail floor, and it keeps long evening hours most of the week.

What the store offers

The store carries Yu-Gi-Oh and serves both card game players and video game players. Customers get free Wi-Fi, and the atmosphere runs friendly and relaxed rather than competitive-only. The space is organized around playing, and the setup reflects that.

Tournaments

The store hosts tournaments for Yu-Gi-Oh TCG and Cardfight Vanguard on the card side, and for Marvel vs. Capcom and Mario Super Smash Bros. on the video game side. That mix means the same room can host a card night and a console bracket. Specific nights, start times and entry fees are not fixed in a weekly schedule, so a player planning around a particular event should confirm timing with the store.

Hours and getting there

The store is at 2060 Santa Fe Ave, Long Beach, CA 90810. It opens at noon every day, closes at 10 PM Monday, Tuesday and Thursday through Saturday, and closes earlier, at 7 PM, on Wednesday and Sunday.

Because the doors open at noon, weekday play happens in the afternoon and evening, which works for after-school and after-work crowds.
