MRT Cards, Games & Comics

MRT Cards, Games & Comics is a card, game and comic shop at 1509 FM157, Suite 101, in Mansfield, Texas. It sells trading cards, tabletop games, comics, manga and collectibles, and it keeps long hours: doors open at 11 AM every day, and on Friday the store stays open until 1 AM. That late Friday window makes it a useful stop for anyone who can't get to a shop until after work or after dinner.

What's on the shelves

The stock covers trading cards, board and tabletop games, comics, manga and general collectibles, so one visit can serve a collector, a casual player and a reader of comics or manga at once. Orders can be placed online for in-store pickup only, which suits anyone who wants a specific item set aside before making the drive. Nothing ships; everything is collected at the counter.

Items the store doesn't carry can be requested. A request covers a specific game, card, comic or collectible, and the store tries to track it down without guaranteeing availability. Once a special order is confirmed as possible, a 50% deposit is required before the order is processed.

Store policies

The two policies that matter most are the pickup-only rule for online orders and the deposit on special orders. Special orders are handled through a product request form rather than at the counter, so the store can confirm whether an item can be sourced before any money changes hands.

Hours and getting there

The shop is in Suite 101 at 1509 FM157, Mansfield, TX 76063.

Sunday is the shortest day, so plan weekend evening visits for Friday or Saturday.

The local scene

Mansfield has several other game and comic shops close by. Oblivion Games, Inc. is 0.7 miles away, Mansfield Comics & Manga and Flip of a Coin Games are each 1.2 miles away, and Blockhouse Games & Comics is 2.4 miles away. Darkhound Game Center in Arlington is about 5 miles out.

Card shows in the area are mostly in Arlington, about 11 miles away. The Arlington Card Show Mini on Friday, October 30 comes first, followed by the Arlington Card Show on November 7 and a second day on November 8, and another Mini on Friday, November 13. TURTLE'Z Cards and Collectibles Market is 16 miles away and next starts on November 1.

Who it suits

The shop fits Mansfield-area collectors and players who want cards, games and comics under one roof, and anyone who needs a store that stays open late on a Friday. Buyers hunting for something hard to find can use the request process, with the deposit as the cost of a confirmed special order.
