Level Up Games

Level Up Games is a locally owned trading card and collectibles shop at 15 Hershey Rd in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, set up inside The Red Rocker vendor mall on the main level. Pokémon is the core of the business, with thousands of singles, a regularly updated run of sealed product, and a particular strength in Japanese and Chinese Pokémon TCG items. It suits Pokémon collectors and players first, and it also covers other card games, Nintendo video games and consoles, and general collectibles.

What's on the shelves

Singles run from affordable binder cards up to Special Illustration Rares, kept in organized binders so they are easy to browse. Sealed Pokémon TCG products come in English, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Indonesian, and the store keeps everything factory-sealed. A limited selection of graded cards (PSA, CGC and BGS) is mixed in with the singles. Every product sold is authentic.

Other than Pokémon, the store carries Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece Card Game, Disney Lorcana, Digimon Card Game and sports cards, plus newer games such as Riftbound, Azuki TCG, Elestrals and Shard Bugs. The shop also stocks figures, blind boxes and non-sports cards. On the video game side, it specializes in Nintendo, new and pre-owned, from DS and 3DS systems through Switch and Switch 2, with PlayStation and Xbox titles also on the shelves. Every used console carries a 30-day defect warranty.

Events

A small table area gives collectors and players room to trade, compare pulls or sit down for a casual game. The store hosts Pizza & Pokémon and weekly Pokémon Trainer Meetups, and its regular Sunday event is a prerelease.

Riftbound players have their own night: Riftbound: Nexus Night is a weekly 1v1 constructed event where players bring their own deck, and the $5 entry includes a Nexus Night pack for every player.

Buying, selling and trading

The store buys and trades Pokémon singles, sealed product, video games, consoles and collectibles, in person or by mail. Payouts are cash or store credit, and they cannot be split between the two. Card and sealed rates are set against Near Mint value.

Trade credit applied to Pokémon singles earns a 10% bonus, and bulk cards, code cards and heavily damaged items are not accepted.

Offers on newly released sets can run lower because prices move quickly. Mail-in quotes are good for 3 days, and sellers get a prepaid shipping label. Video games, consoles and collectibles are priced separately, with Pokémon games on Switch and handhelds among the stronger categories.

Store policies

Pre-orders require full payment at the time of the order, with no deposits or partial payments, and fulfillment depends on manufacturer and distributor timelines. All TCG sales are final unless an item arrives damaged to the point of being unusable. The Level Up Rewards program earns 200 XP for every $1 spent, in store and online.

Online orders can be picked up in store, and the store ships anywhere in the United States by USPS Ground Advantage, with free standard shipping on orders over $100.

Hours and getting there

The shop space is compact, and its spot inside The Red Rocker makes it an easy stop while browsing the rest of the mall.

History

Level Up Games began selling video games in 2019 and became an LLC in 2020. In 2024 it moved into The Red Rocker and shifted its full focus to the Pokémon TCG, growing around singles and sealed product.
