Knight & Day Games

Knight & Day Games is a trading card and tabletop game store at 6521 S Las Vegas Blvd STE C-105 in Las Vegas, Nevada. It carries a wide run of card games, buys cards from the public, and sells board games, LEGO and accessories alongside the singles case. It suits collectors who want to sell a collection as much as shop one, and players who like the option of a membership discount on board games.

What's on the shelves

The store stocks singles and sealed product across Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece Card Game, Disney Lorcana, Flesh and Blood, Digimon Card Game, Dragon Ball Super Card Game, Weiss Schwarz, Star Wars: Unlimited and sports cards. Pokémon and One Piece singles are front and center in the singles inventory. Sleeves, deck boxes, playmats and dice fill out the accessories side, and the shelves also carry board games, miniatures and paints, puzzles, books, figures and plastic model kits. The store is an authorized reseller of LEGO products.

Preorders are open for board games, trading card game products and miniature gaming releases. A restock list is kept as well.

Selling and trading in cards

Buying from the public is a large part of the business. The store buys Pokémon singles, sealed product and graded slabs, along with bulk across several games.

Slabs from PSA, Beckett and TAG are accepted, and the store is mainly interested in cards graded 10.

Cards must be at least Lightly Played, and the store makes the final call on condition. Submissions need to be organized, standing upright in a box and all facing the same direction. Basic energy cards, code cards, sleeved bulk, signed cards, fakes and anything smelling of smoke are refused, and a submission that ignores the rules can draw a 25% sorting fee or a full rejection. Rejected cards go back to the owner at the owner's expense, and cards left uncollected for 30 days after a local drop-off are forfeited.

Bulk is bought in white BCW card boxes or empty ETB boxes, never loose in random boxes or still in binders. Pokémon bulk from Scarlet & Violet or Mega Evolution sets pays $8 cash or $12 in store credit per 1,000 unsorted cards, and Magic bulk pays $8 cash or $10 in credit. Sorting by rarity raises the credit rate: lowercase ex cards pay $350 per 1,000, and rainbow and gold rares pay $2,000 per 1,000. Bulk buying is currently paused for Star Wars: Unlimited, Riftbound, Gundam, Digimon, Dragon Ball Fusion World, Union Arena, Flesh and Blood, and One Piece outside of blocks 2 to 4.

Locals can drop off cards Monday through Saturday, 11 AM to 9:30 PM, and Sunday, 10 AM to 7 PM. A manager may process a submission on the spot, but drop-offs are usually handled within 24 hours. Mailed submissions need prior approval, and payment for them goes out by Zelle only.

LEGO purchases are by appointment only.

Memberships and rewards

Knight's Circle is an in-store membership at $99 per year. Members get up to 40% off board games bought in the store, plus a 30-day price guarantee: if the price drops within 30 days of a purchase, the store honors the lower price.

A separate rewards stamp card program gives 50 to 100% off beverages, snacks, event tickets and sleeves after repeat qualifying purchases.

Store policies

Local orders can be returned for store credit if unopened and in new condition within 30 days of purchase. Trading card games are the exception: singles sales are final, and no trading card game can be returned or exchanged.

Orders ship from the store's Las Vegas warehouse, usually within 2 to 7 days. Most orders over $150 in the lower 48 states ship free, and smaller orders pay a flat $9.99. Local pickup is usually ready within 2 to 3 business days.

Events

The store runs events for Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh!, along with other trading card game events. Event tickets are sold through the store.
