Izzy's Collectibles (Comics, Trading Cards, Sports Cards, and more!)

Izzy's Collectibles is a comics and collectibles shop at 722 McFarland Blvd in Northport, Alabama. It carries comic books alongside sealed Pokémon and sports products, and the games it supports include Pokémon and the One Piece Card Game. It suits comic readers and card collectors who want one stop for both, and anyone with a collection to sell or trade.

What's on the shelves

Comics are the core of the stock, including exclusive variant covers made for the store and for conventions. Past exclusives have featured cover art by the Northport artist Brayz, and several of the store's variants have sold out. The line has included a One Piece cover made for GalaxyCon Oklahoma City, priced from $24.99, and Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan variants priced from $15.00 and $20.00. Other covers have tied in Taylor Swift and Eminem.

On the card side, the store sells sealed Pokémon product and sealed sports product, along with sports cards.

Buying and trading

The store buys comic book collections and makes trades. Collectors with a large lot can reach out with details of what they have.

Pull boxes and store policies

A pull box service runs through Diamond, the comic distributor. Customers get a free online previews account to browse each month's catalog, and the account is set up by invitation. Terms:

• Order one book or hundreds. A ratio variant is free when an order qualifies for one.
• Everything is 25% off, including comics, toys and statues.
• The first order is paid up front, and later orders are paid when they arrive.
• Shipping can be weekly, biweekly or monthly, with shipping paid when the customer is ready.

Returns are accepted within 30 days of receiving an item. The item must be in the condition it was received in, in its original packaging, with a receipt or proof of purchase, and a return has to be requested before anything is sent back.

Also on offer

Izzy's Coffee is offered alongside the store. Brayz also takes commissions and requests, arranged through the store.

About the store

The store is a one-person operation, run by a former US Army soldier and law enforcement officer who turned a comics hobby into a full-time business. The owner's wife handles the accounting.
