Hit N Run Sports Cards and Pokemon

Hit N Run Sports Cards and Pokemon is a card shop at 142 N 21st St in Purcellville, Virginia, built around sports cards and Pokémon. The business started in 2010 and has long had a strong auction and live-break side, so it suits collectors who chase graded cards, autographs and game-used pieces as much as people who want to flip through a case of singles.

What's on the shelves

Sports cards are the core of the catalog. Baseball, basketball, football, hockey, soccer and NASCAR all have their own sections, with Pokémon carried alongside. Within the sports side, the stock is organized by more than product line: graded cards, autographs, game-used cards, one-of-one cards and mixed lots each get their own category, and shoppers can also sort by price band (up to $24.99, $25 to $49.99, and over $50) or by manufacturer. The manufacturer list covers Topps, Panini, Upper Deck, Leaf, Bowman Chrome, Bowman's Best and National Treasures, with Prizm covered as well.

Sealed product is a real part of the mix. Baseball hobby boxes run from a 2022 Topps Series 2 box at $105.99 and a 2022 Topps Series 1 box at $125.99 up through a 2021 Topps Chrome box at $194.99 and a 2022 Bowman 1st Edition box at $529.99. A 2022 Bowman Baseball mega box at $69.99 is the lower-priced entry in the baseball lineup. A bargain bin category covers cheaper cards, and branded Hit N Run gear is sold as well.

Live breaks and auctions

Much of what makes this store distinctive happens beyond the shop floor. Live box breaks and personal boxes or packs are run through PACKWARS.ORG, and the store keeps dedicated categories for a Wednesday night live break and a Thursday night rip session. A weekly card auction lists and ships more than 450 items every week, and giveaways run several times a week. Auction wins are shipped to buyers, and some items ship free.

The team has more than 19 years of hobby experience between them, and the stated aim is quick, safe turnaround on orders.

Shows and events

The store attends card shows of various sizes and welcomes customers to stop by its table at any of them, regardless of the size of the venue. No recurring in-store tournaments or organized-play programs are confirmed.
