GRR Games

GRR Games is a trading card and tabletop store at 1313 E Main St in Alice, Texas. It carries Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon and Disney Lorcana, along with Dungeons & Dragons gear and tabletop accessories, and keeps a busy event calendar built around Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokémon and a few newer card games. It suits players in and around Alice who want a regular place to play on weeknights and weekends, and the store keeps late hours on Fridays and Saturdays.

What's on the shelves

The core stock is Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon and Disney Lorcana, with other trading card games alongside them. For tabletop players, the store sells Dungeons & Dragons gear and the accessories that go with it. Comics are part of the offering through Pugsley's Comics.

Events and organized play

The calendar leans heavily toward Magic. Friday Night Magic runs on multiple dates, and Pauper Night events fall on Fridays in November. Casual and multiplayer formats get regular slots too: a chaos draft on October 30, a Two-Headed Giant Commander night with a Star Trek theme on November 14, and a Star Trek sealed league that runs over multiple weeks in November. A Star Trek Magic prerelease is set for November 6, and an event for people new to Magic is scheduled for Sunday in early November.

Beyond Magic, the store runs Tuesday Night Yu-Gi-Oh! and a Pokémon League on Thursdays. Newer games are covered as well, with One Piece Card Game events, Riftbound Nexus Nights and a Gundam Card Game event on multiple dates. Seasonal one-off nights round things out, including a Royal Rumble: Festival of Fear on October 24 and a Pumpkin King's Rumble on October 31.

Hours and getting there

The store is closed on Mondays and open the rest of the week. Late Friday and Saturday hours leave room for evening events and longer draft nights.

The address is 1313 E Main St, Alice, TX 78332.
