Got Hobby

Got Hobby is a retail shop at 9721 Klingerman St. in South El Monte, California, open Monday through Saturday. Despite the name, nothing in the material points to a trading card or tabletop gaming focus. The store sells general merchandise, with outdoor canopies as the most developed part of its catalog, so it suits shoppers looking for that kind of gear rather than collectors hunting for singles or players looking for a place to run an event.

What's on the shelves

The catalog is built around household and outdoor goods. Product categories include canopies, dog cages, dog playpens, dog houses, dog beds, bird cages, TV mounts, electronics, furniture, cargo carriers, privacy fences, sun shades, umbrellas and sports items.

Canopies are the deepest line. They come in 10x10, 10x15 and 10x20 sizes, each in black, white, blue and red.

Replacement covers and sidewalls are sold separately. A 10x10 cover is $35 and a 10x15 cover is $47. Single sidewalls run $10 to $15, and 10x10 zipper sidewalls are $12. Some sidewall colors sell out.

The shop is open 11 AM to 5 PM Monday through Saturday and closed Sundays. The address is 9721 Klingerman St., South El Monte, CA 91733, and the store takes major credit cards along with Apple Pay and Google Pay.
