About
Games and Stuff is a large tabletop gaming store at 7736 Governor Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie, Maryland, open since 2000. It combines a 14,000-square-foot showroom with more than 4,000 square feet set aside for in-store play, two private game rooms and paint stations. It runs over 100 gaming events every month, which makes it as much a place to play as a place to shop. It suits trading card players, miniatures painters, board game and role-playing groups, and anyone who wants a table to book for a private session.
The store carries four trading card games: Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Disney Lorcana and Flesh and Blood. Pokémon stock includes decks and booster packs, and tens of thousands of Magic singles are searchable in a digital database. Riftbound, KeyForge and Star Wars: Unlimited have their own shelves as well, and Magic preorders for new sets, such as the Star Trek set, are taken ahead of release.
Cards are only part of the floor. The store also stocks board games, roleplaying games, Dungeons & Dragons product, dice, puzzles, manga, books, gifts and apparel. Miniatures are a real strength: the range includes Warhammer, Star Wars X-Wing, Malifaux and Frostgrave, backed by paint and hobby supplies. A coffee and tea section sits alongside the games.
The store buys trading card collections, with rules that depend on the game:
| Game | What the store buys |
|---|---|
| Magic: The Gathering | Bulk collections |
| Riftbound | Bulk collections |
| Pokémon | Specific valuable cards worth over $10 |
| Star Wars: Unlimited | Specific valuable cards worth over $10 |
| Lorcana | Specific valuable cards worth over $10 |
Sealed trading card product is not bought back.
Used board games, role-playing games and miniatures are bought for store credit only. Sellers send a list of what they have, wait up to two weeks for an offer, then bring the collection in during business hours with a current photo ID, which county law requires. Collections dropped off without an accepted offer are not taken.
With over 100 events a month, the calendar is dense, though no fixed weekly schedule is confirmed here. Magic set releases come with prerelease events, and Pokémon play runs weekly. The store also marks the larger tabletop moments: Free RPG Day events, CONsolation, an event offered as an alternative to Gen Con, and an October event called Epic RPG Weekend that was in planning at last report. Event entries are non-refundable, and prerelease kits have to be picked up by attending the event.
The Fellowship Rewards Program earns 5 points for every $1 spent, with event entry and private room rentals excluded. Gift cards are valid for 5 years, in the store and online.
Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase, or 60 days for purchases made between November 15 and December 24. The item must be intact and in its original shrink wrap, and the buyer needs a photo ID and the receipt. Opened or sealed collectible games, including Pokémon, are not returnable, and neither are preorders, food and drink, event fees, used items and clearance items.
Online orders can be picked up locally at no charge, with curbside pickup available on request. Canceled online orders carry a 3% fee to cover card processing, and international shipping is not offered.
