Gamers N Geeks

Gamers N Geeks is a large game and hobby store at 5701 Moffett Rd, Suite N, in Mobile, Alabama. It covers trading card games, tabletop miniatures, role-playing games, board games and models under one roof, with a floor built around play space rather than just retail. It suits card players who want a store that runs events nearly every day it is open, and groups who want room to spread out.

What's on the shelves

Six card games anchor the stock: Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Disney Lorcana, Digimon Card Game and Star Wars: Unlimited. The shelves also carry Universus, Gundam Card Game, Riftbound, Cardfight Vanguard, Union Arena and One Piece. Graded cards are a regular category, with Beckett and PSA slabs for Magic, Digimon and Cardfight Vanguard, and a large singles inventory covers Magic, Pokémon, One Piece and Lorcana.

Card supplies fill out the category: sleeves in standard and small sizes, inner and outer sleeves, toploaders, binders, deck boxes, counters, playmats and playmat holders.

Beyond cards, the store stocks board and party games, Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder and other role-playing games, and a deep miniatures range that includes Games Workshop lines such as Warhammer 40k, Kill Team, Age of Sigmar and The Horus Heresy. Other miniature systems include Star Wars Shatterpoint, Star Wars Legion, Marvel Crisis Protocol and Battletech. Paints, brushes, tools and airbrushing supplies cover the hobby side, alongside dice, Gunpla kits, scale models, figures, Lego, puzzles, manga and used books.

The space

The building is a big one, with more than 6,000 square feet of free play space and never a table charge. There are rooms set aside for role-playing and board games, private rooms available for groups, and plenty of tables for Warhammer. Visitors also describe an indoor racetrack for RC cars and an arcade section at the back.

Events

Events run heavily through release windows. In early October 2026 the calendar included two Star Wars: Unlimited prerelease sessions, two Yu-Gi-Oh! Beyond the Brave premiere events, a One Piece tournament and a Gundam TCG ST11 to ST14 release event. Magic: The Gathering Reality Fracture prerelease events ran on every day the store was open during prerelease week, and the opening Friday night drew 70 players.

Many of the store's regular weekly tournaments are free to enter, and a Winner Wednesday feature recognizes event winners each week.

The Star Wars: Unlimited prerelease plays Swiss, best of three, with rounds set by attendance, and each player receives one pack in prize support plus promotional materials. The Yu-Gi-Oh! premiere is a sealed event: every entrant gets 5 packs and a Field Center Card, builds a deck of at least 20 cards, and keeps the rest as a sideboard. Gundam players are handed a random deck from the ST11 to ST14 series and may swap up to 10 cards with ones they own, as long as the colors match and no card exceeds four copies.

Policies

Purchases can be returned within 30 days if the item is unused, in its original condition and packaging, and accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase. Gift cards and TCG singles are exempt from returns, and sale items cannot be refunded.
