Gamers-Corps

Gamers-Corps is a hobby gaming store at 8167 Main St in Ellicott City, Maryland, built around trading card games, tabletop miniatures, board games and role-playing games. The shop carries Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Disney Lorcana, Flesh and Blood and Star Wars: Unlimited, and it runs a steady calendar of prereleases, leagues and qualifiers. It suits players who want organized play in the same building as a full hobby aisle, and families who want a place for kids to game too. The aim is a social hobby gaming store that meets a gamer's needs and acts as a positive community hub.

What's on the shelves

The trading card shelves cover Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Disney Lorcana, Flesh and Blood and Star Wars: Unlimited. The store also stocks Riftbound, Gundam trading cards and Yu-Gi-Oh, along with prerelease kits and prize support for events. Magic singles are sold by set, and every card is graded near mint and shipped protected. The newest set on the singles shelf is Marvel Super Heroes from June 2026, with 249 cards, and singles are also organized for the Commander Marvel Super Heroes set and for The Hobbit.

Around the cards, the store stocks the usual accessories: card sleeves, binders, playmats, deck boxes and storage, Dragon Shield products, and dice, dice bags, towers and trays.

Beyond card games, the shop is a broad hobby store:

• Board games, from strategy and cooperative games to party, family and children's games, plus puzzles.
• Role-playing games, including Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, Starfinder and Shadowrun, with miniatures, terrain, rule books and DM tools.
• Tabletop miniatures, including the Games Workshop range (Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, Kill Team, Blood Bowl and more), Battletech, Star Wars: Legion and Shatterpoint, and Warmachine.
• Painting and modeling supplies such as Citadel paints, Vallejo, Army Painter, brushes and hobby tools.
• Collectibles, including Funko POP figures and plushes, plus a kid zone, a snack bar and drinks.

Organized play and events

Events are the backbone of the store's calendar, and entry fees vary by event:

The Gym Leader Challenge runs three rounds, best of one, at 45 minutes a round, with decks limited to one copy of each card name apart from basic energy, no Rule Box or ACE SPEC cards, and a single Pokémon type.

An EDH league for Magic runs at $30, and a Dungeons & Dragons campaign is offered at $125. Tabletop wargaming events, including a Warhammer 40,000 event, are part of the mix as well.
