About
Game Together is a video game store and free-to-play arcade in the Omega Shopping Center on Highway 100 near Layton Avenue in Greenfield, Wisconsin. It is a video game shop first: used games, consoles and accessories are bought and sold across the counter, and a play area with arcade cabinets and consoles stays free to use whenever the doors are open. It suits retro and modern console collectors, families looking for somewhere to play, and anyone who wants to turn a shelf of old cartridges into cash or store credit. Card players should note that this is not a tabletop shop.
The stock is video games, game consoles and accessories, with classic cartridge systems such as the NES, Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64 part of the picture. Consoles sold in the store are fully tested and working. The store also sells its own branded hoodies, at $59.99, and short-sleeve t-shirts, at $24.99. Drinks and snacks are available for purchase.
Trading cards are a small corner of the business. Sealed Pokemon products are part of what the store handles, and trading card packages cannot be returned once opened. Board games and tabletop games are neither bought nor sold.
Used video games, game systems and accessories can be sold for cash or traded in any time the store is open, with no appointment. Offers are based on the item's current market value, its condition, current inventory and demand in the store, and some items may get no offer at all. Used PC software is not bought.
A few rules shape the process:
On the card side, the store buys only sealed, authentic Pokemon cards. Loose and graded Pokemon cards are not bought.
Disc resurfacing runs $4.00 per disc for one to nine discs and drops to $2.00 per disc for 50 or more. Cartridge games that rely on a battery to hold save files can have it replaced for $10 each. Console repair is not offered.
The arcade is free to play with no registration needed. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult, outside food and drinks are not allowed, and parties or organized tournaments need management approval in advance.
Events lean toward video game competition and community nights. Past events include Tekken 8 tournaments, a monthly Tekken 8 tournament on the first Sunday of the month starting at noon, Splatoon 3 Squid-waukee tournaments with registration through start.gg, a Halo 2 LAN party and Rocket League and Halo Reach nights. A one-year anniversary party in November 2024 offered 25% off items at $14.99 and under, party games and free pizza. The store also ran a room at the Midwest Gaming Classic at the Baird Center in April 2025.
The store is growing. An arcade expansion grand opening is set for Saturday, August 29, 2026, with the store open 11 AM to 10 PM. The day includes a double-elimination NFL Blitz tournament at noon and a Mortal Kombat tournament at 7 PM played on one of three Mortal Kombat arcade cabinets, plus a giveaway of a Jungle Green Analogue 3D for entrants 18 or older.
Returns and exchanges are accepted within seven days of purchase with the original receipt and must come back in the condition they were sold, with everything they came with. Sealed items must be returned sealed, consoles that have been opened are not eligible, and new accessories such as cables, adapters and third-party controllers cannot be returned once opened unless defective. Gift cards cannot be returned, and purchases made at Midwest Gaming Classic cannot be returned or exchanged.
