Gabe's Cave Comics, Cards, & Collectibles

Gabe's Cave Comics, Cards, & Collectibles is a comics, cards and pop-culture shop at 2101 N College Ave in El Dorado, Arkansas. Comics lead the inventory, with trading cards, Warhammer, Funko Pop figures and statues filling out the rest. It suits collectors who want new comic books, graded books and card supplies from a single local shop.

What's on the shelves

Comics are the core of the store. New releases arrive weekly, and the racks cover Marvel, DC, independent publishers and manga, plus trade paperbacks and back-issue books. The store also carries comic covers exclusive to it, including variant covers by artists Leon LeClaire and Kate Flynn, and it takes preorders on some of them. Graded books turn up as well: a CGC 9.8 copy of Dungeon Crawler Carl Special Edition #0 has sold for $100, while the exclusive-cover printings of the same issue run $20. A pull list service is available for readers who want titles held for them.

Beyond comics, the store sells sports trading cards, trading card games and card supplies. Warhammer, Funko Pop figures, statues, apparel and accessories, and general collectibles round out the range.

Returns

Purchases can be returned within 30 days of receiving the item, as long as it is unworn or unused, still has its tags and sits in its original packaging, and the buyer has a receipt or proof of purchase. Returns must be requested first, and the store sends a prepaid label and instructions once it accepts one; items sent back unannounced are refused. Sale items and gift cards cannot be returned, and neither can custom orders or special orders. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 10 business days. Damaged, defective or wrong items should be reported right away so the store can make them right.

History

The store began its journey into the pop culture world on March 25, 2019. It started as a weekly video show hosted by Gabe, with his dad alongside him, and grew from there. The show was meant partly to help Gabe come out of his shell after being bullied as a kid, and the shop carries that mission forward as a welcoming, interactive space for fans of superheroes, movies, games, TV shows, comics, artwork and action figures. The Cave now counts more than 10 crew members and artists working with it from around the world.
