Family Traditions Hobby

Family Traditions Hobby is a family-owned sports cards and collectibles store at 213 N Market St in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, operating since 2013. It carries sports cards alongside four trading card games and a deep run of collecting supplies, which makes it a practical stop for someone who needs both the cards and the gear to protect them. Its weeknight and weekend hours are short, so it suits a planned visit more than a drop-in.

What's on the shelves

Sports cards are the core of the store, and it stocks hobby boxes from Topps, including basketball releases priced at $250 and $300. Baseball, football and basketball each have their own category.

On the trading card game side, the store carries Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Disney Lorcana, including booster boxes. Tabletop role-playing games and playing cards are also stocked, among them Bicycle decks in Disney themes such as Frozen, Moana, Lion King, Toy Story, Donald Duck and Stitch.

Supplies are a particular strength. The store sells a long list of BCW protection and storage products:

• Standard card sleeves, including a case of 10,000 for $59
• Toploaders in many sizes, from 3x4 standard holders at $2.50 to larger 8.5x11 and 11x14 holders for prints and documents
• Magnetic holders for thicker cards, from 35 point up to 360 point
• Sorting trays, card dividers, stands, storage boxes and 18-pocket pages
• Comic storage, including bags, backing boards, bins and toploaders for current, silver and golden age books

Gaming accessories include Dragon Shield sleeves, deck boxes at $20, playmats and dice. Gift cards start at $25.
