Dame Games

Dame Games is a tabletop gaming store at 201 S Main St in North Syracuse, built around Magic: The Gathering and Disney Lorcana. It runs a regular calendar of Commander nights, prerelease tournaments, Armory nights and leagues, and it buys cards from the public, which makes it a practical stop for players who want a place to play and collectors with a binder to move.

What's on the shelves

The store carries Magic: The Gathering and Disney Lorcana. Upcoming products can be preordered in the store, and more preorders are on the way. Singles are also sold online.

Buying cards from the public

The store runs a formal buylist for Magic: The Gathering and Lorcana, and it is the most detailed part of how the shop operates.

For Magic, the store takes cards in Near Mint, Lightly Played and Moderately Played condition. Any card worth $1.00 or more is accepted, and so are bulk rares and mythics worth less than $1.00. For Lorcana, only Enchanteds are bought, in Near Mint or Lightly Played condition.

Offers on non-bulk cards, meaning anything worth $1.00 or more, are 40% of the low and market price average for cash or 60% for store credit. Bulk rares and mythics under $1.00 pay 5 cents per card in cash or 10 cents per card in credit. A submission that includes a digitized list in a compatible format earns an additional 5% payout.

Sellers with fewer than 30 cards can walk in anytime. Larger buylists of 30 or more cards go through a submission form that asks for a name, an email and optionally a phone number, plus the type of products, a rough quantity and an estimated value. The store replies by email within 24 hours with drop-off options, an estimated completion time and an order number. Once the cards are processed, the offer for cash or store credit arrives by email, and payment is picked up in the store.

A few terms are worth knowing before sending a list. The store can decline any submission. Orders not dropped off within the requested timeframe are cancelled. A buylist can be cancelled at any time, but a $20.00 processing fee applies if it is cancelled after the order has been dropped off. A receipt for the purchased cards is available on request.

Events

The store's event calendar includes Commander nights, prerelease tournaments, Armory nights and leagues. Specific days, start times and entry fees change with the calendar, so confirm details with the store before planning a night around one.

Store policies

Refunds require the item to be in the same condition it was received in, along with a receipt or proof of purchase. Buyers are asked to inspect an order on arrival and report anything defective, damaged or wrong right away. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 10 business days, though banks and card companies can take longer to post them. The store accepts American Express, Apple Pay, Discover, Google Pay, JCB, Mastercard, Union Pay and Visa.

Hours and getting there

The store is open five days a week and closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

The address is 201 S Main St, North Syracuse, NY 13212, in the middle of the village.
