About
Dailey Card Co is a trading card shop at 120 Doug Baker Blvd suite 110b in Hoover, Alabama, open every day from 10 AM to 9 PM. It carries Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece Card Game, Disney Lorcana and Digimon Card Game, and it pairs a retail floor with a play area for drop-in games. It suits collectors who want a store that buys as readily as it sells, and newer players who would like someone to explain a game from the ground up.
The store stocks sealed product, singles and graded slabs. Sealed goods run from booster boxes and elite trainer boxes to special sets, with Pokémon, Magic and Yu-Gi-Oh! each getting their own section and the smaller games grouped together. Accessories fill out the rest: card sleeves, binders and portfolios, dice, life counters, deck boxes and playmats. Collectibles and toys sit alongside the cards, and snacks and drinks are sold on-site. Fresh stock arrives every week.
Buying is a large part of the business. The store buys Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering singles, bulk and whole collections, along with Pokémon sealed product and graded cards from PSA, CGC and BGS, and full collections and estate lots. Offers are made on the spot after a look through the cards, and sellers choose between cash and store credit, with extra value on the credit side. Small lots need no appointment, while a large collection is better arranged by calling or emailing ahead so staff can set aside time.
| Day | Time | Game | Format |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wednesday | 6 PM to 9 PM | Magic: The Gathering | Commander Night, casual multiplayer |
Commander Night is open to all skill levels, and players bring their own deck.
The play area has three large conference-style tables, and the owners plan to double the play space by the end of 2026. Drop-in casual games need no booking, so players can arrive and find a game. Tables for tournaments or events can be reserved by phone or email, and the weekly tournament schedule is available the same way. Staff are glad to teach newcomers how a game works.
Sales of sealed product and singles are final unless an item arrives damaged. Damaged orders must be reported within 48 hours, with photos. The store accepts Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover and Apple Pay, and offers free in-store pickup in Hoover.
The store is open 10 AM to 9 PM seven days a week, in suite 110B at 120 Doug Baker Blvd, Hoover, AL 35242. Special event hours can differ on tournament nights.
The shop grew out of a founder's lifelong collecting habit. Toys came first, then Pokémon, and after years of working jobs and building up someone else's business, he set out to start his own. A few good connections in the hobby led to bringing in Pokémon product, and then more of it, until the stock needed its own space. The store came together piece by piece: a display case, then shelves, then tables and chairs, and a lot of late nights sorting a very large pile of bulk. It is now fully open in Hoover.
