About
Comic Universe is a comic shop at 446 E MacDade Blvd in Folsom, Pennsylvania, serving Delaware County since 1979. It is first a comic book store, with new issues, back-issue bins, graded slabs and vintage toys, and it adds trading cards and a weekly Magic: The Gathering Commander night. It suits comic readers and collectors who want a long-running neighborhood counter, and Magic players looking for an adults-only night to sling some spells.
New comics arrive every Wednesday, mostly Marvel, DC and independent titles, alongside graphic novels collected in trade paperbacks so a reader can catch up on a full arc without chasing single issues. The back-issue bins hold key issues and independent finds. Graded, slabbed books sit in their own section, with pricing that runs from modest to serious: a CGC 9.6 copy of Marvel's Star Wars #8 is $90.
Toys and collectibles run from vintage 1990s action figures, many still carded, to current DC Multiverse figures. Trading cards are part of the mix, and Magic: The Gathering is the one game the store carries. The shop also has arcade games.
The store keeps a subscription pull list: pick your titles from Marvel, DC, indie and manga lines and the shop sets them aside each week. Subscribers get 10% off new books. Pull-list orders can be picked up in the store or shipped.
| Day | Time | Game | Format |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wednesday | 7 PM | Magic: The Gathering | Commander night, ages 21 and older |
The night is open only to adults 21 and older, and new comics land the same day, so a Wednesday visit can cover both the new-release shelf and a game.
The store marks national comic occasions with sales, and Batman Day on September 19 brought a free Absolute Batman tote with a purchase of $30 or more. No organized-play programs are confirmed for the store.
Online orders can be returned within 30 days with a receipt or proof of purchase, as long as the item is in the condition it arrived in and its original packaging. Sale items and gift cards cannot be returned.

Frank Link opened Comic Universe in 1979 to bring comics out to Delaware County, and it is the county's first and longest-running comic shop. He built it around deep back-issue bins and a welcoming floor. When he retired after four decades, John Daly Jr., a retired U.S. Marine, took over and kept the shop veteran-owned. Michael Grant, a lifelong comic fan and collector, runs it today.
Several game and collectible shops sit within a few miles: J & J Collectables in Norwood (1.4 miles), Showcase Comics and Games in Swarthmore (1.5 miles), Hobby town in Springfield (2.4 miles), Hobby Town USA in Secane (2.7 miles) and Game N DVD Exchange in Media (3.9 miles). For a larger floor, Philadelphia TCG Con is about 7.7 miles away and next starts on December 12, 2026. The Chester County Card Show, 15 miles out, next runs on November 1, 2026.
