Comic Madness

Comic Madness is a comic book shop on Mountain Avenue in Chino, California, in the Inland Empire. Comics are the core of the business, with a deep run of new releases and recent back issues, and trading cards and collectible card games share the floor with them. It suits comic readers who want back issues and graphic novels in one place, and card collectors who like to browse non-sport trading cards and CCGs alongside a full comic shop.

What's on the shelves

The store carries the largest selection of new and recent back issue comic books in the Los Angeles area. Variant covers and hard-to-find limited retailer incentives are part of the stock, and cheap bins hold comics priced at $1.00 and $.50. Graphic novels run to the thousands, covering trade paperbacks and hardcovers, and the trade paperbacks and hardcovers are always discounted.

New comics and the pull list

New comics arrive every Wednesday, and the store stays open late that day, until 8 PM. Regulars can join the subscription pull list, which comes with special discounts and sales.

Events and conventions

The store takes part in Free Comic Book Day, when participating shops give away free comics on the first Saturday in May. It has also set up at regional conventions, including the Los Angeles Comic Book and Science Fiction Convention at the Shrine Auditorium Expo Center, along with San Diego ComicCon, WonderCon and Anaheim Comic Con.
