Collect Direct

Collect Direct is a sports card company with an address at 3601 N 4th Ave in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It is not a walk-in shop yet. The business is built around authenticated sports cards sold in sealed packs, and the vault is not open to the public: a launch is planned, with the doors to open soon. For now it suits collectors who want to follow a new sports card business from the start rather than a player looking for a weekly game night.

What it sells

The one product is the Card of the Month: a single real sports card, authenticated and sealed in a protective holder, in each pack. Buyers choose either a regular card or an autographed one, and they name a sport and a favorite team. The pick is random, though. The sport and team are a preference, not a guarantee, so the card that comes out of the pack may be from another team or another sport. Each pack is its own separate purchase, and a card order does not start a membership or any recurring card order.

Cards are authenticated, with the grading company named on the label. Cards authenticated by JGC can be registered in the buyer's name. Grading and registering is a service the business runs for its own cards.

Membership and pricing

Anyone can buy a pack, and members pay less on every one. The Membership costs $10 per month until cancelled and gives access to member card prices. It does not order cards automatically. Monthly renewals can be stopped in the membership billing area, and a customer who cannot cancel online can contact the company or use the phone number in its footer.

There is also a business side to the company. Joining as an affiliate carries a $49.99 sign-up fee that covers one year, and the first sign-up includes the first month of monthly membership and member pricing. The fee renews manually at $49.99 once the year ends, and a 30-day cure period applies to the affiliate year while the monthly membership is current.

Support and getting in touch

Customer phone support runs Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM Central Time. No in-store hours are set, since the store has not opened to the public. The company's privacy terms also mention a Vault feature for keeping track of cards, plus a Trade Center that is currently paused.

Where it is

The address is 3601 N 4th Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57104, in the north part of the city's card and collectibles cluster. Nothing in the material points to weekly events, organized play programs or a play space, so the store is a place to buy and collect rather than to play.

The local scene

Several other collectible shops sit close by in Sioux Falls. Magic Makers is 0.6 miles away and Abe Stark Cards is 0.9 miles away. Game Chest is 2.4 miles out, Jack Master's Diecast Car Collectibles is 3.4 miles, and A-Gamers Game Store is 4.1 miles. For anyone who wants to browse a counter in person today, those are the nearer options while Collect Direct prepares its launch.
