Cards & Comics Connection

Cards & Comics Connection is a family-run pop culture shop at 1717 N Frazier St in Conroe, Texas, carrying trading card games, comic books and collectibles under one roof. The weekly calendar is busiest on Sundays, when Pokémon, Disney Lorcana and Digimon leagues run back to back, and the store stays open until 11 PM on Fridays for late play. It suits TCG players who want a regular league night for a mainstream game, and collectors who also want comics, Funko and Loungefly bags in the same stop.

What's on the shelves

Trading card games are the core of the stock: Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Pokémon, One Piece Card Game and Disney Lorcana, with Digimon Card Game supported through weekly play. Alongside the cards, the store carries a wide variety of comic books, plus Funko, Loungefly and other pop culture merchandise. Crochet kits and similar gift items rotate through the catalog as well.

The store buys TCG cards and toys. Trade-in value is 65% of the current TCG or PPG price as store credit, or 50% of that price in cash, and a valid ID is required to sell. Store credit cannot be applied to gaming entry fees. Funko Pops are not being bought at this time.

Weekly play

The schedule also includes a Gundam weekly and a Sorcery league on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM, open play on Thursdays and a Commander night on Fridays.

Special events

Magic: The Gathering Star Trek prereleases are set for Friday, November 6 at 7:30 PM and Saturday, November 7 at 4 PM, with a $45 entry fee. A free Chaos Booster Draft is planned for Saturday, October 31 at 3 PM.
