CARD VAULT

CARD VAULT is a card store at 20521 15 Mile Rd in Clinton Twp, Michigan, with a stock built around Japanese-franchise trading card games. Dragon Ball Super Card Game is the game the store is tied to most clearly, and the shelves reach well past it into Gundam, Black Clover, BLEACH and a few Western releases. It suits collectors and players of the Bandai card lines who want sealed product and accessories close to home.

What's on the shelves

Dragon Ball Super Card Game is the anchor. The Fusion World line is well represented, with card cases in character designs including Bardock, Broly, Gogeta and Vegito, and booster products across the range. Booster packs from the Cyber Eden set (BT-22) are $6.00, and a booster box of Dual Evolution (FB09) is $300.00, the highest price in the catalog. A Masters Collector's Selection Vol. 2 set is $99.99, and a Fusion World card case is $34.99.

Gundam Card Game accessories are stocked in depth. Official card sleeves from the second series come in several character designs, including Gigi Andalucia, Master Gundam and Shining Gundam, Nu Gundam and Sazabi, and Suletta Mercury, and an official card case set is $30.00.

Other anime card games fill out the range:

• Black Clover starter decks, at $10.00
• BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War starter decks
• FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST starter decks
• CODE GEASS: Lelouch of the Rebellion Vol.2 booster boxes, at $70.00

Outside anime, the store carries Avatar: The Last Airbender sealed product, with a Jumpstart booster display at $100.00 and a Play Booster display at $129.99.

The product list currently runs to 50 items, 49 of them in stock. That is a focused inventory built mostly on sealed product and accessories, not a deep wall of singles.

Buying online

The store sells through its own online catalog as well as at the shop on 15 Mile Rd, so the stock above can be bought without a trip. Payment options include the major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay.
