About
Bitjump Games is a video game and trading card shop at 32 S Freedom Blvd in downtown Provo, family-owned and split between two jobs: selling retro and modern games, and buying and selling trading cards. It carries Pokémon and Magic: The Gathering, adds Riftbound to the card wall, and runs a console repair bench in the same building. It suits collectors who want one stop for cards and games, and sellers who would rather walk in with a binder than book a time.
Cards are the smaller half of the floor but a real one. Pokémon is stocked as singles and as booster packs in both English and Japanese, and the Japanese packs from the current MEGA sets are priced at $5.99 each with a discount when four are bought together. Magic: The Gathering is carried as well. Riftbound: League of Legends Trading Card Game is also stocked, with singles in the Origins, Spiritforged, Unleashed, Vendetta and Radiance sets.
The rest of the shop is video games. Retro stock runs from the NES and Super Nintendo through Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis, GameCube and PlayStation 2, cleaned before it goes on the floor, alongside current titles for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Controllers, cables, adapters and memory cards fill out the accessory side, and the store also sells toys-to-life figures such as amiibo and Skylanders, plus plush toys, art and clothing. Most pre-owned items carry a 90-day money-back guarantee.
Buying is a central part of the business. The store buys Pokémon in English and Japanese, covering singles, sealed product, collections and bulk, and takes Magic: The Gathering singles, collections, sealed product and bulk cards. Other trading card games are bought case by case depending on the game and current demand, and more are planned.
Offers are based on market demand, condition, rarity and recent sales. Sellers choose cash or a larger amount in store credit. No appointment is needed to sell in person, and in-store sales are paid the same day. Very large collections are easier to evaluate when they are organized by set or rarity, and a heads-up before bringing in hundreds or thousands of cards helps. Customers outside Provo can mail in a collection, with payment the next day once the shipment is verified. The store draws sellers from across Utah County, including Orem, Lehi and Spanish Fork.
Console and controller repair is done in house with a 1-year warranty on every job. Common work includes HDMI port replacement, disc drive repair, Joy-Con stick drift, cleaning to prevent overheating, internal HDMI upgrades for retro consoles and save battery replacement. The shop does not install modchips or custom firmware, and does not do softmods.

Parking is nearby, and the shop is minutes from the Center Street exit off I-15.
The store is preparing to move to a new, larger location elsewhere in downtown Provo. No date or address has been set, so the current shop is where to go for now.
Provo has other card options close by. Crazy Card Addict is about 0.7 miles away and Game Den about 1.1 miles. In Orem, Boardgame Revolution is about 3 miles off, HobbyTown about 3.6 miles and Variety Games about 3.7 miles. No weekly play nights or organized-play programs are scheduled at Bitjump Games, so it works as a place to shop, sell and repair rather than a place to sit down and play.
