Beast Sports Cards and More is a sports card shop at 2364 Diamond Hill Rd in Cumberland, Rhode Island. It serves collectors at every level, from families opening their first packs to longtime hobbyists hunting a specific card, across baseball, basketball, football, hockey and soccer. Its roots are in live card breaks, which date to 2015 and still run alongside the retail counter.

What's on the shelves

The store stocks sealed sports card boxes, packs, supplies and singles. It also buys, sells and trades cards over the counter, so a collection can change hands in person as well as through the case.

Grading submissions are a regular service. Staff walk collectors through the available grading companies and service levels, current pricing, estimated turnaround times and the submission process. The store documents and prepares each submission, ships the cards to the grading company, and contacts the customer when the finished order is ready for pickup. Fees and turnaround vary by company, service level and card value, and the grading company controls the decisions and the timing.

Card breaks

Breaks began as the heart of the business and continue to stream live several times each week, featuring the newest sports card releases and popular products. They run on a single live-selling platform only, and break purchases are handled there rather than at the store counter.

Store policies

Orders can be placed online for pickup at the store; shipping and local delivery are not offered. Most in-stock orders are ready within 24 hours of normal business operations, though holidays, major releases and card shows can stretch that. Pickup waits on a ready notification, and the customer brings the order confirmation and a photo ID. If someone else is collecting, the store needs their name in advance. Preorder items are available for pickup only after the product has been released and received by the store.

Sales are final on sealed boxes and packs, singles, supplies, preorders and presale products, sale or clearance merchandise, gift cards, and grading fees once a submission has been processed or sent off. Breaking a factory seal ends any chance of a return. If a customer is handed the wrong item or one that is visibly damaged, the store looks into it when told promptly, and customers are encouraged to inspect their products before leaving. If the store cannot fill a preorder because its allocation is cut or canceled, the refund goes back to the original payment method.

A rewards program is planned but is not yet running.
