Baxter's Games

Baxter's Games is a card and game store in Queen Creek, Arizona, at 18530 E San Tan Blvd, Suite 116. It carries Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and One Piece Card Game, and it also stocks Warhammer miniatures and Dungeons & Dragons product, which makes it a stop for tabletop players as well as card collectors. It buys cards from the public and runs a comic pull list.

What's on the shelves

Singles are a core part of the stock for Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, and Yu-Gi-Oh!, each with its own singles section. Sealed product sits alongside them: Pokémon boxes and booster boxes, and Magic booster packs, collector boosters, and displays. Past Magic releases the store has carried include Ravnica Remastered and Wilds of Eldraine.

Beyond cards, the store sells Warhammer 40k and Warhammer Age of Sigmar miniatures, used Warhammer 40K, Citadel and other miniature paint, and Dungeons & Dragons product including D&D miniatures. Board games, dice, card sleeves, deck boxes, playmats, toys, comic books, graphic novels, and manga round out the supplies and extras.

The store also takes comic subscriptions through a pull list and accepts comic preorders.

Buying cards and card condition

Baxter's Games buys cards from customers. Condition matters when a collection is priced, and the store uses its own grading guide that sorts cards from Near Mint down to Damaged, so it is worth sorting a binder against those standards before bringing it in.

Store policies

The store has no returns for change of mind. All sales, preorders included, are final, and refunds apply only when the wrong item was shipped. Cancellations are tight: an order with no preordered items must be cancelled the same day it is placed, and an order containing a preorder can be cancelled within 48 hours. Anyone with a question before ordering or preordering is asked to call the store first.

Preorders ship only when the manufacturer releases the product, and release dates can slip for reasons outside the store's control. An order that mixes in-stock items with a preorder is held until the last preorder is ready, so buyers who want their in-stock items right away should place separate orders. The store makes no promises about the future value of what it sells, and collectible prices can move up or down after a purchase.
