Alpha Strike Games

Alpha Strike Games is a card store at 408 S LBJ Dr in San Marcos, Texas, stocked mainly with singles for four games: Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Disney Lorcana. It also carries sealed product and buys cards from customers, including bulk, which makes it a practical stop for players building decks and for collectors clearing out boxes.

What's on the shelves

Singles are the core of the store, sorted by game: Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Lorcana. The Magic inventory runs from everyday cards to older staples, with Revised Edition dual lands such as Underground Sea and Volcanic Island priced in the high hundreds of dollars, plus Japanese-language foils from the Mystical Archive. The Pokémon singles lean toward high-end and vintage pieces as well, including Base Set Unlimited (Shadowless) cards, Sword & Shield: Evolving Skies and Scarlet & Violet: Prismatic Evolutions chase cards. Sealed trading card game product is stocked alongside the singles, and recent releases such as Phantasmal Flames and Avatar are on the shelves.

Selling and bulk buying

The store buys cards through both a standard buylist and a separate bulk buylist. Bulk has to be submitted in a particular way: desleeved, organized by category, faceup and facing the same direction, with no basic lands or basic energy and no damaged cards.

Bulk rates are posted by game.

Rates like these suit someone with large lots of unsorted cards rather than a few valuable pieces, which are better suited to the regular buylist.

Events

The store runs Magic: The Gathering events and takes registration for them ahead of time. A Lorwyn Eclipsed Prerelease was scheduled for January 16, 17 and 18, 2026, with registration open in advance. No standing weekly events are confirmed.

Hours and getting there

The store is open only a few days a week, closed Tuesday through Friday.

The store is at 408 S LBJ Dr, San Marcos, TX 78666, and Monday's late close makes it the one weekday option for anyone coming after work.
