A To Z Cards Comics Coins is a long-running collectibles shop on Ford Road in Garden City, Michigan, covering trading card games, sports cards, comic books, manga and coins under one roof. It has been in business since 1986 and draws on a stock of hundreds of thousands of items. It suits collectors who want more than one hobby served in a single stop, and card game players who want a weekly tournament close to home.

What's on the shelves

Cards are only part of the picture. The store carries sports cards (baseball, football, hockey and more), along with autographs and sports memorabilia. The comics side includes comic books, graphic novels, manga, trade paperbacks and action figures, and there is a comic subscription service for readers who want titles set aside.

The coin department covers US coins, silver and gold coins and bullion, currency, proof and mint sets, state and national parks quarters, and Presidential dollars. Collecting supplies round out the stock.

Weekly play

The store runs a regular in-house tournament schedule built around its main games. The two events in the current weekly rotation:

Gundam and Yu-Gi-Oh! tournaments are also part of the schedule, on Saturday at 11 AM and Sunday at 1 PM respectively, and a second One Piece night runs Wednesdays at 6:30 PM.

The store closes for Labor Day, September 7, 2026.

History

A To Z Cards Comics Coins opened in 1986 and has served Garden City and the wider Detroit metro area since. In 2002 The Detroit News voted it the number one comic book store in the greater metropolitan Detroit area.
