Release date, card count, chase cards, value and how it compares with the Original Series era.
Pokemon Jungle is a Japanese expansion from the Original Series, released on March 5, 1997, between Expansion Pack (No Rarity) and Mystery of the Fossils. The card list totals 48 printings, split evenly across commons, uncommons and holo rares at 16 each, so every third card in the set is a holographic. What defines Pokemon Jungle is its headline holos: Snorlax, Flareon, Vaporeon and Jolteon sit at the top of the value ranking, which puts the Eevee evolutions at the centre of the set.
Pokemon Jungle was released March 5, 1997.
Pokemon Jungle has 48 cards.
Pokemon Jungle is part of the Original Series era.
The pull ladder in Pokemon Jungle is short: commons, uncommons and holo rares, with no secret cards numbered past the printed run. All 16 holo rares are the draw, and Snorlax leads the most valuable cards, followed by Flareon, Vaporeon and Jolteon, with Pidgeot fifth. Every one of those is a holo rare, so the chase is simply the holo slot. Value is fairly concentrated: the top five cards hold 52 percent of the set's total card value, which means half of the worth of the card list rides on five holographic cards.
As of October 2026, Pokemon Jungle ranks 8th of the 8 comparable Original Series sets by total card value, at about 0.6 times the era median, and its Snorlax also ranks 8th among the era's single most valuable cards. Trading activity is stronger, placing it 5th in the era, and across the whole game its total card value ranks 98th of 189 sets. It followed Expansion Pack (No Rarity), which holds more total value, and came before Mystery of the Fossils, which also holds more.

Completing Pokemon Jungle means tracking down all 48 catalog printings, and every one of them is priced. Because five holo rares carry 52 percent of the set's total card value, the commons and uncommons are a small part of the cost, and a complete set is mostly the price of those few holos. The sealed line for Pokemon Jungle is a single product, the booster pack, so there is no booster box to list alongside the singles.
