Release date, card count, chase cards, value and how it compares with the PCG era.
Fire Quick Construction Pack came out on January 16, 2005, as a deck product in the PCG era of the Japanese Pokémon TCG. It is a small, self-contained release with 15 catalog printings under the set code, built around a fire-themed list rather than a spread of rarities. Its top cards are Camerupt ex, Torchic and Zangoose, with Numel and Combusken behind them, which points to a Hoenn-flavoured fire line at its core. The only name printed more than once is Basic Fire Energy, which appears five times and shows how much of the product is the energy base for the deck.
Fire Quick Construction Pack was released January 16, 2005.
Fire Quick Construction Pack has 15 cards.
Fire Quick Construction Pack is part of the PCG era.
Camerupt ex, at $9.99, as of November 2, 2026.
A quick construction pack is not built around pulls, so there is no ladder of rarities to climb here and no secret cards numbered past a printed count. The cards that carry value are the ones that make up the fire deck itself. Camerupt ex ranks first by card value, followed by Torchic in 2nd, Zangoose in 3rd, Numel in 4th and Combusken in 5th. Switch and Mr. Stone's Project, the trainer cards, sit 6th and 7th. In a set this small, the Pokémon of the fire line do the work, and the five Basic Fire Energy printings are the bulk filler around them.
As of October 2026, Fire Quick Construction Pack is best read by its kind. At 15 catalog printings it is a fraction of the size of a full PCG-era expansion, which carries many times that number of cards and a full rarity spread. It sits between Black Deck Kit, released November 19, 2004 and topped by Rocket's Moltres ex, and Feraligatr Constructed Starter Deck, released March 5, 2005 and topped by Feraligatr ex. Its cards also reached English players: Emerald carries 8 of them and came out 3 months after this Japanese release on May 9, 2005.

Completing Fire Quick Construction Pack means finding all 15 catalog printings, of which 7 are priced. With so few cards, the cost of a full run comes down to a handful of the Pokémon at the top of the value list, since the five Basic Fire Energy printings and other filler add little. The set also has one sealed product listed, an other sealed item, which is the form in which the deck was originally sold.
