The CSM2.5C master set comes to 100 slots against 99 cards in the set, so each card adds about 1 slot on average and a complete run is close to a straight card-for-card collection. By finish, holo prints fill 59 slots, normal prints 40 and reverse holo 1. Laid out nine to a side, the whole master set fills 6 double-sided binder pages, a short project among Sun & Moon era sets. This is the Simplified Chinese Pokémon TCG expansion released March 17, 2023.
Only three variant families make up the CSM2.5C master set: Holo with 59 slots, Normal with 40 and Reverse Holo with 1. That lone reverse holo sits at the common tier, and it is the one place the master set steps beyond the set's own card list, so it is easy to overlook when working through the master set checklist. A reverse holo is a print with the holo pattern over the card's frame rather than the artwork. There are no stamped, edition or logo-stamped families here: each card takes one holo slot or one normal slot, plus that single reverse holo.
| Variant family | Slots | Priced | Share of value |
|---|---|---|---|
| Holo | 59 | 47 | 96% |
| Normal | 40 | 13 | 3.9% |
| Reverse Holo | 1 | 1 | <1% |
As of October 24, 2026, 61 of the 100 slots in the CSM2.5C master set carry a price, and the value is heavily concentrated. The ten highest-value slots hold 65 percent of the master set's total value, while the lower-value half of the priced slots adds up to only 9 percent. By finish, holo prints account for 96 percent of the master set cost and normal prints for 4 percent. In practice the master set cost is decided by a short run of holo cards, and the many normal prints barely register.

A handful of super rare holo cards make the CSM2.5C master set hard to finish. In value order the hardest slots are the holo prints of Rosa, Misty & Lorelei, Mega Lopunny & Jigglypuff-GX, Venusaur & Snivy-GX and Charizard & Braixen-GX, all of them super rare tier. Combined, these five slots hold 49 percent of the master set's total value. None is a variant slot: each is the card's main holo print, so the difficulty comes from the cards themselves rather than from a hidden extra finish.
At 100 slots, the CSM2.5C master set is about 0.3 times the Sun & Moon era median of 325 slots, a small job by that measure. By master set value it ranks 3rd among the 6 comparable sets in its era. The previous set, CSM1.5C, has 88 slots and a master set holding lower value than this one, while the next set, CS1.5C, has 96 slots. Finishing this one takes far fewer binder pages than a typical expansion of the era, with value concentrated in the top few cards.
A CSM2.5C (炫奇争胜) master set is one copy of every card AND every variant in the set — the 99 cards on this page, with their Normal, Reverse Holo and Holo prints each listed and priced on their own. Sign in and the checklist tracks what you own, in step with the Cardboard Alpha app.
The large NM-only figure is a complete catalog estimate when every printing has current NM pricing. LP, MP, HP, and DMG “and up” totals below it use the requested condition or a better available condition. These are summed reference prices, not a quote from one seller; a dash means the current market does not cover every printing yet.
“LP and up” means lightly played or better: the total uses LP when available, then NM as the better-condition fallback. The MP, HP, and DMG tiers follow the same pattern.
