The cost of completing the Gem Pack Vol.5 master set is shaped by its small footprint: 196 slots for 196 cards, so every card is exactly one slot and no extra variants inflate the checklist. The split is 112 normal slots and 84 holo slots in the Simplified Chinese Pokémon TCG, released April 24, 2026 in the Gem Pack era. Laid out nine to a side, the whole master set fills 11 double-sided binder pages, a compact job by the standards of a full master set checklist.
The Gem Pack Vol.5 master set is built from just two families: 112 normal slots and 84 holo slots. There are no reverse holo copies, no stamped versions and no first-print variants, so finishing the master set means one copy of every card in its single finish. The holo family is the smaller of the two but carries most of the value, which makes the Simplified Chinese holo slots the part of the binder that decides how hard the set is to complete.
| Variant family | Slots | Priced | Share of value |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal | 112 | 103 | 29% |
| Holo | 84 | 83 | 71% |
Value in the Gem Pack Vol.5 master set is heavily concentrated. As of October 24, 2026, 186 of the 196 slots carry a price, and the ten most valuable slots hold 44 percent of the master set's total value. By finish, holo slots account for 71 percent of the total while the 112 normal slots share the remaining 29 percent. At the other end, the lower-value half of the priced slots adds up to only 22 percent, so the master set cost sits in a narrow band of top slots rather than spreading evenly.

Five holo slots define the difficulty of the Gem Pack Vol.5 master set, all in the three-star rarity tier: Captain Pikachu, Floragato, Crocalor, Quaxwell and Chansey, in value order. Together they hold 38 percent of the master set's total value. None of them is a variant, since each is the card's main print in the holo finish, so the surprise is not a hidden variant but how much of the set's value sits in a handful of three-star holos.
At 196 slots, the Gem Pack Vol.5 master set runs about 1.2 times the era median of 168 slots, so it is slightly larger than a typical set from the Gem Pack era. By master set value it ranks 3rd among the 6 comparable sets of its era. The previous set, CSV8C, is far bigger at 616 slots but its master set holds lower value, while the next set, CSV9C, has 284 slots and a higher-value master set.
A Gem Pack Vol.5 (宝石包 VOL.5) master set is one copy of every card AND every variant in the set — the 196 cards on this page, with their Normal, Reverse Holo and Holo prints each listed and priced on their own. Sign in and the checklist tracks what you own, in step with the Cardboard Alpha app.
The large NM-only figure is a complete catalog estimate when every printing has current NM pricing. LP, MP, HP, and DMG “and up” totals below it use the requested condition or a better available condition. These are summed reference prices, not a quote from one seller; a dash means the current market does not cover every printing yet.
“LP and up” means lightly played or better: the total uses LP when available, then NM as the better-condition fallback. The MP, HP, and DMG tiers follow the same pattern.
