# Magmar #44 — Wizards Black Star Promos

## Summary

Magmar is a Gen I Fire type with a loyal following from the Red and Blue years, and Atsuko Nishida's name on a Wizards-era card carries weight with early collectors. As a promo it sits outside the normal pack hunt, so demand comes from completists. At a $34 modelled guide, up 4% over 30 days on 41 copies traded, with 504 days of inventory on the board, this printing is almost entirely collector premium, since the same card plays for $0.12 out of Journey Together; the slab is the real edge, with PSA 10s at $221 and a 30% observed gem rate putting about $16 of expected profit per submission.
