# Mewtwo GX #SM196 — SM Black Star Promos

## Summary

Mewtwo is among the most loved Gen I Pokémon, and a GX Mewtwo carries that pull straight into Sun & Moon-era collecting. As a Black Star Promo it was never a booster pull, so scarcity comes from distribution, while MPC Film's credit marks an unusual, studio-made illustration source. The modelled guide sits at $20, down 20% over 30 days on 80 copies traded, with 769 days of inventory on the board; the slab is the real edge, with PSA 10s at $700 and a 41% observed gem rate putting about $170 of expected profit per submission.
