# Malamar #SM117 — SM Black Star Promos

## Summary

Malamar's Psychic Recharge ability made it a cult-favorite engine in Sun & Moon-era Psychic decks, and the Gen VI squid has a devoted following for its odd, unsettling charm. As a black star promo it sat outside the booster chase entirely, so demand rests on playability and Shin Nagasawa's name. At a $6.71 modelled guide, up 5% over 30 days on 12 copies traded, with 90 days of inventory on the board, this printing is almost entirely collector premium, since the same card plays for $0.04 out of Shrouded Fable; no PSA population is on file.
