# Mightyena #42/109 — Ruby & Sapphire

## Summary

Mightyena is a Hoenn Darkness evolution with a modest but steady following among Gen III fans, and this Uncommon was a standard mid-set pull rather than a chase slot. Ken Sugimori's name is the real draw here, since the original Pokémon designer's illustrations are a favorite among completists. At a $2.20 modelled guide, up 6% over 30 days on 8 copies traded, with 515 days of inventory on the board, this printing is almost entirely collector premium, since the same card plays for $0.07 out of Ascended Heroes; PSA does not split this card’s population by finish, so no gem rate can be read for it.
