# Totodile #048 — MEP Black Star Promos

## Summary

Totodile carries the weight of Johto's starter trio, and that Gen II loyalty gives even a Basic promo a steady audience among players who began with Gold and Silver. Promos like this sit outside any main set's chase slots, so demand rests on Saboteri's name and the Pokémon's following. At a $7.28 sold median, down 27% over 30 days on 897 copies traded, with only 11 days of inventory on the board, this printing is almost entirely collector premium, since the same card plays for $0.23 out of Ascended Heroes; a ACE 10 brings $59, 8.1 times raw, but a 93% gem rate against $49 of fees makes grading a losing trade.
